The first time I saw Jane, she was just a number (8-32) located in Canada. Since our 4-H club was voting on a PMU foal to adopt, befriend and train, I checked the box next to her picture to place my vote. The majority of the club also liked 8-32 and she was later loaded onto a trailer and sent to North Carolina. My 4-H club planned that we would halterbreak, show, and train the later-named Jane. Once she was under saddle, we would. giver her to a worthy and deserving 4-Her that wanted and loved her. Our 4-H club has taken Jane to many shows during the past one and a half years, and we showed her as "Plain Jane" because she had no white markings. One judge exclaimed that she was anything but plain! There are many deserving members of our 4-H club that would love to own Jane, but I believe I deserve her the most because I have been to every foal class held during the time Jane has been here. Also, I have done every KP that I have signed up for to pay Jane's boarding fee. Since Jane has been at our barn, it has been a true pleasure to watch her grow up from an awkward foal to a beautiful horse. My future plans for Jane would be to board her at Foothills Equestrian Center where she is currently located now. I will take a lesson on her once a week so I could see how we are progressing. Also, I would also have a daily training journal with me so I could record what we worked on and what we had trouble with. Naturally, I will run into some problems with training Jane and I understand that I can't do it all by myself. My instructor, Dana Dewey, will help me with any problems that may occur. Also, my friends with horses could help me out because many of them have already trained, or are currently training their young or green horses. My parents, too, will continue to support and encourage me with Jane. |

My future with Jane is very secure and will hold a great amount of joy in the years to come. |
