DO YOU BELIEVE YOUR HORSE COULD NEVER BE AS STEADY AS A POLICE HORSE? NOW YOU AND YOUR HORSE CAN BE FEARLESS AND FORWARD! Think about it this way, if Arabs, Thoroughbreds, Warm-bloods, Quarter Horses, Appaloosas, Paints and any other kind of horse can be trained to be police horses, there is no reason your horse can’t be taught the same things. The fact is, training a horse to be “spook proof” is just another training method. Like all other training methods, it requires a working knowledge of techniques used by, in our case, mounted police training. And, like all training, with enough practice your horse will learn to trust you and “go forward” through whatever you tell him/her to go through with little or no resistance. Do you need to prep your horse for the upcoming show and hunt season? If you would like to prepare your shy, green or spooky horse for show and hunt season using police training by a mounted officer with 29 years of Mardi Gras experience, contact us. Let us show you what we can do for you and your horse. DO MORE IN A WEEKEND THAN YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD DO IN A YEAR! P.O.S.T. credit hours for mounted officers, sheriff posse and search & rescue members

MINIMUM HORSE & RIDER REQUIREMENTS: Most people will find greatest benefit from using a horse able to walk under saddle. We have had handlers complete the clinic with a great deal of satisfaction and training benefit LEADING YEARLINGS! This work helped make the yearlings the easiest and most laid back colts to saddle break that you could ever imagine. This is a lot of riding for a two year old just starting under saddle, but it can be kept very slow and if the baby is reasonably fit, they can complete the entire weekend with occasional rest breaks. Many riders have reached "firsts" during this work, including first canters, and even first mounted rides! In fact, you will find the entire weekend is a progression of "firsts", even for highly experienced horsemen! |
